Opportunity
We are seeking an Intern – Human Resources & Finance Support to join our team. This individual will play a key role in supporting critical business functions across HR, Finance, Recruiting, and Office Administration. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive individual looking to gain broad exposure to day-to-day operations within a growing biotech company. This role is an on-site position, based in our Waltham, MA office.
Job Responsibilities
Reporting to the VP of Finance and Administration, you will support a variety of operational and financial functions across the company. Duties include:
- Assist with tracking and updating recruiting progress for upcoming hires
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes in collaboration with the People Team
- Help roll out and monitor hourly employee processes including timecard tracking in Gusto
- Update and audit PTO records and support benefits-related tasks such as HSA tracking
- Support office-related needs such as processing incoming and outgoing mail
- Assist with reimbursement-related administrative tasks
- Help prepare and summarize materials for board reporting and other ad hoc finance needs
- Support the Finance team with daily and monthly accounting activities, including:
- Logging daily deposits into internal trackers
- Downloading and organizing lockbox materials
- Booking deposit transactions in QuickBooks
- Assisting with Brex transaction mapping and receipt follow-up
- Helping compile and roll forward month-end close binders and checklists
- Reconciling Brex transactions
- Preparing departmental P&Ls and supporting BvA reporting
- Attending internal finance and accounting meetings to gain insight into operations
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive)
- Willingness to learn new systems (QuickBooks, Gusto, Brex – training provided)
- A team player with a positive, can-do attitude and a strong desire to learn

All roles at Naveris require compliance with legal and regulatory requirements of HIPAA and acceptance and adherence to all policies and standards at Naveris.
